Providence Physical Therapy
Providence Physical Therapy
Our Approach
At Providence Physical Therapy, we take a holistic, team-based approach to your care. Our physical therapists work alongside your primary care physician at doctor appointments to help improve your overall health and wellness. They are specially trained in primary care physical therapy so they can incorporate treatment to help you feel better, move better and live better.
Our physical therapists can help you with challenges that may get in the way of daily life, like nagging pain, an injury, or weakness after surgery. As they work with you and your doctor, they can also help you reduce the risk of future chronic conditions and injuries.
A big advantage of our primary care-physical therapy partnership is that you won’t need to wait for a referral to begin working with your physical therapist. Your physical therapist will take part in your primary care visit and set up a one-on-one evaluation to help you get better, quicker.
Conditions We Treat
Our physical therapists are trained in primary care physical therapy. This means they can treat a range of conditions commonly seen by primary care physicians. Your physician and your physical therapist work as a team to treat:
- Orthopedic conditions. We treat muscle, bone and joint pain or dysfunction from head to toe. Our physical therapists use a variety of exercises and manual therapy to treat:
- Arthritis
- Foot and ankle conditions
- Hip conditions
- Knee conditions
- Neck and back pain
- Post-surgery recovery
- Shoulder conditions
- Sports injuries
- Pelvic floor conditions. We work with male and female patients who have pain or incontinence associated with pelvic floor muscle dysfunction. Our physical therapists use stretching, strengthening, stabilization and other techniques to treat:
- Chronic pelvic pain
- Constipation
- Incontinence
- Painful intercourse
- Vestibular conditions. We treat patients with a range of vestibular issues, which can be caused by stroke, vision changes, inner ear problems and other conditions. We use exercise, the Epley maneuver, diagnosis of inner ear conditions and more to treat:
