Why Choose Us for Your Neurological Care?

Our subspecialized, fellowship-trained experts provide advanced treatment for a variety of conditions, including stroke, brain tumors, spine disorders, traumatic brain and spine injuries, epilepsy, movement disorders, migraine and other headaches. Compassionate, comprehensive treatment is just one of the reasons you can trust Providence with your neurological care. Here are five more:

No two patients are the same. That’s why we nurture a long-term relationship with you to manage your specific symptoms and condition. Your expert neurologists and neurosurgeons work with you and the rest of your multidisciplinary team to design a treatment plan that fits your needs. If you need surgery as part of your treatment, our surgeons and specially trained neurology/spine nurse navigators help guide you through the process, from pre-surgery evaluations to post-operative care. And we offer a wide range of services, from comprehensive rehabilitation to support groups and spiritual care, to treat your whole person – body, mind and spirit.

When you’re our patient, you’re cared for by world-class specialists who have superior success rates treating complex conditions such as brain tumors, cerebral aneurysms and epilepsy. Our fellowship-trained multidisciplinary teams include neurologists and neurosurgeons. All our neuroscience specialists are board-certified in their subspecialties. Our experts even have hard-to-find subspecialties, such as headaches and epilepsy. We’re also an Orange County Emergency Medical Services–designated Stroke-Neurology Receiving Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center, the highest level of certification for stroke and cerebrovascular care. That means we’re among the top hospitals in the region and nation for treating the most complex stroke cases.

Providence Mission Neuroscience Institute offers options and hope to patients seeking the most advanced therapies for their neurological condition. We have a dedicated neuroscience unit featuring three neuroscience-dedicated operating rooms with the most advanced surgical tools at our disposal, including robotic-assisted spinal surgery and robotic navigation for surgical procedures. We also have the only epilepsy monitoring unit in South Orange County. This specialized inpatient unit evaluates, diagnoses and treats seizures.

As our patient, you have the opportunity to participate in one of our many neuroscience clinical trials in the areas of stroke and cerebrovascular care, brain tumors and spine. This groundbreaking research and innovation translate to better care – and a better life – for you and your loved ones.

At Providence Mission Neuroscience Institute, we are committed to providing access to the best care to everyone in our diverse community. We respect and support the racial, ethnic, religious, gender, sexual and spiritual identities of each of our patients. We offer services such as translation for non-English-speaking patients and community education clinics. In keeping with our Mission, Providence offers financial assistance programs that provide free and low-cost care to those who are eligible.

Every neurological patient at Providence Mission Neuroscience Institute benefits from our deep expertise across many subspecialties. We are part of a collaborative network that includes award-winning physicians and research scientists across 51 hospitals in seven states.
