Emergency Department Clinical Observation
We are continually sharing our experience and knowledge with up-and-coming health care providers. The Emergency Department at St. Pat’s provides clinical learning experience for students ranging from Emergency Medical Technician to Athletic Training programs. Throughout these clinical learning opportunities, we maintain certain policies to assure we are providing a safe environment for the patient.
Please send us an email to set up clinical time in the ED. Allow two to three days for a response and at least two weeks to complete the required paperwork if you are setting up a new class. Space is limited to two students at a time, and requirements vary depending on the education level of the student.
Typical areas of study for observing students:
- EMT (all levels)
- RN and LPN
- Physician Assistant
- 3rd and 4th year Medical
- Pre-Pharmacy and Pharmacy
- Job Shadows
- Athletic Training
- Physical Therapy
