Level IV Maternal Center

Designated by the Texas Department of State Health Services, this is the highest level of care available for mothers under State designation rules. A level IV maternal care facility provides comprehensive care for pregnant and postpartum patients, from those with low-risk conditions up to and including the most complex medical, surgical and obstetrical conditions that present a high-risk of maternal morbidity or mortality. The hospital was officially designated following an in-depth site visit conducted by the Texas EMS Trauma & Acute Care Foundations’ Maternal Facility Verification Program. What this means is that - no matter what happens during your pregnancy and delivery - you can rest assured that you're receiving the best care possible at Covenant Women's Care Center.

We also offer pre-birth classes, pain management options, follow-up programs and specialized care for high-risk pregnancy to ensure that each pregnancy and delivery is as joyful and memorable as possible. Our primary goal is to constantly incorporate “best practices” among our health care team and ensuring the highest quality care is provided in the safest and most comforting environment for these precious new lives.

Specialized Labor/Delivery & Obstetrical Nurses

These are expert, dedicated and specially-trained nurses, whose priority is the safe and joyful arrival of each baby. Our nurses are highly trained with many years of experience and are committed to providing compassionate care to reach optimum outcomes and ensure patient satisfaction. More than 40 percent of our nurses are specially trained with advanced certification in fetal monitoring, gynecological and inpatient obstetric care. Our nurses and physicians work together to manage complex medical conditions that can arise in pregnant women.

All unit nurses are also required to complete and maintain advanced certifications under Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program.

Maternity Education Programs

We offer a wide variety of educational classes to prepare mothers and families for the arrival of a new baby. All classes are geared towards promoting an environment that is healthy for babies, parents and loved ones. We offer weekly classes, spread out over three weeks, or a one-day Saturday Fast Track class to meet every expecting family's needs.

Prenatal Care Center

The center provides comprehensive prenatal care under a certified family nurse practitioner, working with the premier obstetricians of Covenant Medical Group to provide the best personalized care for you and your baby.
