Lacey Perry named Chief Philanthropy Officer
Kadlec is pleased to announce Lacey Perry, CFRE, as the leader of the Foundations at Kadlec. She serves as chief philanthropy officer for the Providence Southeast Washington Service Area, which includes the Tri-Cities and Walla Walla. Fundraising will remain at the local level just as it always has, with all donations staying within the intended community and foundation.
Perry brings more than 17 years of experience in roles at not-for-profit organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest and southern Arizona, including those with a focus on health care and the arts.
Perry now leads the Kadlec Foundation and the Tri-Cities Cancer Foundation, assuming the responsibilities once held by Jim Hall who retired earlier this year after 30 years with the organization. In this expanded role, she also serves as chief philanthropy officer for Providence St. Mary Foundation, a leadership position she has held since 2021. Fundraising priorities include improving the vitality of the region by strengthening access to local health care, programs, patient resources and capital projects at Kadlec Regional Medical Center and the Kadlec Tri-Cities Cancer Center.
“After seeing Jim’s tremendous impact at Kadlec first-hand, I am excited to step into this role and look forward to continuing our important work – fostering generosity and advancing exceptional care for our community. Family, friends, and neighbors rely on us for our world-class physicians and caregivers who provide excellent, compassionate care every day. I am grateful our work provides support and resources for them to best serve our patients,” said Lacey Perry, chief philanthropy officer for the Kadlec Foundation and the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation, collectively known as The Foundations at Kadlec.
Since assuming the role with Providence St. Mary, Perry’s leadership has helped build community and raise record-breaking funds that have directly contributed to positive impacts on cancer care, health equity, caregiver education, leading-edge technology acquisitions and the recent completion of a $1 million Cardiac Care Campaign. Prior to her role at Providence St. Mary, Perry served as director of development for the Portland Opera, where she was responsible for raising $50 million in institutional support, annual giving, special events, and major and estate gifts during her nine years at the non-profit.
Reza Kaleel, chief executive, Providence Southeast Washington Service Area, shared, “This is an exciting time, as we celebrate Jim’s retirement, and welcome Lacey to her newly expanded role. Lacey brings a wealth of experience, and a genuine heart for connecting donors to our Mission in meaningful ways. During this pivotal time in healthcare, her leadership and expertise will be instrumental, as she advances philanthropy to support our patients, our caregivers, and our community. Lacey is the right person for this role, and the leader we need for this next chapter.”
Perry started her career in philanthropy in Walla Walla, where she was born and raised. She is a graduate from Washington State University in Pullman and is excited to make a meaningful impact in the region she calls home.
Holding the leading certification in her profession – a Certified Fund Raising Executive – Perry is also an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, and serves on the board of the Walla Walla Symphony.
