Community Grants/Donations
Providence Swedish North Puget Sound (which includes Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, Swedish Edmonds, Swedish Mill Creek, and Providence Medical Group Northwest) provides funding to community partners in support of our vision: Health for A Better World. Throughout the year we work to support community partners addressing specific unmet health needs through our community benefit funding.
Providence Swedish receives numerous requests from community agencies and not-for-profit organizations seeking financial donations for various programs and activities. An allocation committee reviews each request according to its guidelines and available funding.
Funding shall be used for programs that are:
- Addressing an unmet community health need, largely based on our community health needs assessment (You can read more about those assessments by clicking here)
- Located in the primary service area of Northwest Washington
- Designed to improve the health of the most vulnerable and underserved members of our community
- Consistent with the Providence mission, vision, and core values
- Demonstrating positive performance and financial responsibility
- Part of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
Providence community benefit funds will not be used for:
- Political activities
- Requests from individuals or small teams for personal activities
- Programs that do not improve the health or well-being of the communities we serve
- Activities contrary to the Providence mission, values, or the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services
Applications may be submitted at any time. However, applications will be reviewed twice per year. Requests are due April 30 and October 31. Applications received after these deadlines will be reviewed during the next cycle.
To apply for a financial donation, complete and submit an application online using this link: Grant/Donation Application Portal. To ensure equity to all community partners, we request that you submit only one application per year for your organization. Unless otherwise agreed upon by Providence Swedish, the donation is not to be considered an ongoing funding source and applications must be resubmitted each year.
Thank you for your interest in partnering with Providence Swedish to improve the health of individuals and communities in North Puget Sound.
