At Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro, we offer you a bridge to your emotional health, and make sure you don’t have to cross it alone. Our inpatient and outpatient psychiatric treatment programs are designed with the comfort, safety and dignity of our patients in mind.
One of the few inpatient programs in the area, our Bridges Psychiatric Program provides safe and confidential physician-supervised treatments including acute inpatient psychiatric care and comprehensive outpatient care.
Our inpatient program is a fully accredited and licensed 25 bed unit that offers a safe, secure and therapeutic environment for adults (age 18 and older) with acute mental health issues. Our comprehensive inpatient treatment program includes:
- Group and family therapy
- Medication management
- Recreational activities
- Expressive therapies.
The Bridges team provides caring and personalized treatment under the direction of a team of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals. In order to help restore patients to their highest possible level of functioning, the team develops a personalized treatment plan for each individual patient, based on his or her specific needs and problems. The Bridges team consists of:
- Psychiatric physicians
- Experienced psychiatric nurses
- Psychologists, therapists
- Case managers
- Social workers
- Speech therapists
- Spiritual care providers
Certified by the Joint Commission, our Outpatient Behavioral Health Center (OBHC) provides voluntary and involuntary mental health services to adults in psychiatric emergencies. The OBHC is staffed with board-certified psychiatrists, nurses and clinical social workers and is licensed as a First Crisis Stabilization Center by the State of California.
Patients in a mental health crisis are transferred by ambulance to the OBHC after medical clearance is completed by the Providence Emergency Department Providers. Once admitted to the OBHC, patients receive rapid mental health evaluation and psychiatric assessment, stabilization and treatment.
Through inpatient and outpatient programs, you can be certain your team works tirelessly to provide you with the optimal care your mental health demands. We provide psychiatric treatment services for:
