Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in joining Providence Health & Services' group of dedicated volunteers. We offer many opportunities for you to get involved and donate your time and talents to our patients. Whether serving as a greeter or escorting visitors, helping in a support department, or supporting in a clinical area, volunteers make a real difference and a measurable contribution to the quality of our hospital team and to the experience of the patients we serve.

To help us support continuity of services for our patients, we ask our volunteers to commit to a minimum length of service of 6 months. Specific shift requirements vary, but the typical range is from 2 to 4 hours per week. Applicants must also be at least 16 years old.

After an application is received, we review an applicant’s availability, interests and qualifications to determine if we have any openings that match. After this review is complete, Volunteer Services will contact applicants regarding their application status and possible next steps. If accepted, the onboarding process typically takes 3-4 weeks and includes a background check, health screening and in-person orientation class.
