Providence Medford Medical Center has been caring for the communities of southern Oregon and northern California for over 100 years. Established in 1911 by the Sisters of Providence as Sacred Heart Hospital, our physicians, staff and volunteers carry on the mission of the Sisters by working together with a special concern for those who are poor and vulnerable.

The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons has granted a three-year approval to the oncology program at Providence Cancer Center, recognizing the center's commitment to the highest level of comprehensive, multidisciplinary patient care.
The Leila J. Eisenstein Breast Center at Providence Medford Medical Center has been designated a Breast Center of Excellence in the region by the American College of Radiology.
Providence Vascular Laboratory is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories for its comprehensive testing for vascular disease; its assessment of every aspect of daily operation; and its impact on the quality of health care provided to patients.
The Joint Commission has certified Providence Medford Medical Center as a primary stroke center for meeting the highest standards of clinical care and performance.
Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) has accredited Providence Medford Medical Center as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery, holding them to a rigorous commitment of 10 comprehensive requirements to support exceptional care and safety including credentialing, experience, and continuing education for surgeons and staff, as well as a 12-month chart audit and onsite hospital inspection every three years.
