Cutting-Edge Equipment for Optimal Recovery
Our Hood River clinic offers specialized rehabilitation equipment to help patients fully recover and safely build their endurance following injury or surgery.
For example, our anti-gravity treadmills help athletes and non-athletes alike. The machine uses patented NASA differential air pressure (DAP) technology to provide unweighting capabilities, so you can walk or run with reduced body weight – reducing stress on joints and muscles during movement and minimizing your risk of injury during recovery.
Regardless of your condition, weight or athletic ability, having access to our advanced rehabilitation equipment helps promote mobility and leads to a faster, fuller recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions
While our clinic doesn’t require a referral, some insurance carriers might require you to get one. It’s always helpful to obtain a referral from your primary care provider or orthopedic specialist before scheduling your first appointment with us.
In most cases, insurance will cover your treatment. However, it’s always best to confirm coverage with your insurance carrier. Our office is happy to assist and contact your insurance company to determine your coverage. For more information, please get in touch with our office.
Please bring the following paperwork:
- Insurance card
- Referral for physical therapy from your referring physician, ARNP or PA
- In case of an automobile accident or worker’s compensation claim, bring any adjustors' contact name, phone numbers and the claim number related to the incident.
We request a 24-hour notice if you need to change your appointment. This allows us to call other patients who may be on our waitlist, helping us to better serve the needs of our community.
We accept debit cards and credit cards. Co-pay for services is due at the time of your visit. We’re happy to discuss payment plan options.
Yes, our clinic is wheelchair accessible.
To make the most of your sessions, wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Exercise clothing such as sweatpants, T-shirts and shorts is most appropriate.
Physical therapy is a hands-on approach to health care. Physical therapists evaluate your movement patterns, identify the cause of your injury or pain, and work to eliminate it. While every patient’s injury and pain are unique, we use various techniques to try and get you back to your pre-injury condition. The overall goal is to restore your mobility and function with improved joint protection to prevent the injury from reoccurring.
Typically, the first session lasts one hour. This includes your intake forms and our initial evaluation. Follow-up sessions then range from 30-45 minutes. The time is based on your specific needs. Our scheduling staff will let you know how much time to plan for.
Each patient’s diagnosis is unique. Together with your referring physician, your physical therapist will develop a specific care plan for you. Your care plan and the number of visits will likely be determined during your initial visit.
The length of your recovery depends on the extent and nature of your injury. Typically, you should begin to feel the effects and benefits of physical therapy after your first or second visit. Our main goal is to get you back to your pre-injury function if possible.
Because you are the primary focus of our care, your active participation is essential to a successful rehabilitation program. The following guidelines are highly recommended to achieve your goals:
- Follow through with any prescribed home exercise programs.
- Report any significant changes in symptoms, function or medications.
- Keep all scheduled appointments.
- Arrive on time for all appointments to provide maximum time with your therapist.
Physical therapists must graduate from an accredited post-baccalaureate program, pass their state board examination and maintain a current level of professional knowledge through annual continuing education courses. Depending on the university, a physical therapy program is either a masters-level (Master of Science – MS) or doctorate-level degree (Doctor of Physical Therapy – DPT).
