you’re being admitted to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, please bring your insurance cards and photo ID (such as a drivers license, college or tribal ID). To protect your identity, we will scan your ID cards into our secure system to verify your information.
Please leave all personal belongings at home. If there are items you must use during your hospital stay, make sure they have an escort home so they aren’t left behind and lost.
Patient safety is a priority at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center. While you’re in the hospital – either as a patient or visitor – please follow all posted safety precautions. Become an active, involved and informed member of your health care team by reviewing your patient rights.
Patient advocacy staff at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center will verify and pre-authorize services you’re scheduled to receive. We encourage you review your insurance benefits and/or contact your insurance company to learn what your policy will pay and what out-of-pocket payments (i.e., co-payments, deductible, percentage of bill, “network” or referral requirements) you’re responsible for.
If you believe your insurance company improperly denied payment for a service, please call your insurance company first. Your insurer has policy details that may not be available to us. You have the right to appeal any decisions made by your insurance company.
