Facey Medical Group Leadership
Facey Medical Group is a physician-owned, multi-specialty medical group with over 200 employed physicians who practice in more than 20 different clinical specialties. Facey has been in operation for over 90 years and currently operates ten offices in the San Fernando, Santa Clarita, and Simi Valleys. The Group's administrative offices are located in Mission Hills, CA.
Dr. Marter attended Loma Linda University in California for his education, internship and residency after growing up on the East coast. He joined Facey Medical Group in 1999 and quickly became a Santa Clarita favorite. He served as chief of Obstetrics at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in 2003 and is currently a member of the hospital's board of directors. Dr. Marter is an active member of the Los Angeles County Medical Association (LACMA), a Diplomate of the American College of Physicians and a member of MGMA on behalf of Facey Medical Group.
Prior to taking on the role of medical group president in December 2018, he served as vice president and regional medical director for the Santa Clarita Valley.
Dr. Davydov joined Facey Medical Group as staff physician in Internal Medicine at Canyon Country office in 2000. Active in numerous committees, he became a shareholder of Facey Medical Group in 2003. Prior to assuming his current role, Dr. Davydov served as Vice Chair (2004-2006) and Chair of Department of Medicine (2006-2008.)
As Medical Director, he has primary responsibility for all medical aspects of the professional medical services rendered by the medical group and for the quality of the health care and health services rendered to patients of the medical group including oversight of credentialing and peer review process. He coordinates day-to-day management and supervision of the professional medical aspects of the medical and surgical practice conducted by the Facey Medical Group.
He received his Bachelor degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at California State University, Northridge, CA, followed by a Doctorate in Medicine through the Dartmouth Medical School (Dartmouth-Brown Medical Program, Providence, RI.) His internship and residency were in Internal Medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Dr. Davydov is a member of LACMA and has served as Expert Reviewer at the Medical Board of California since 2005.
Providence Facey Medical Foundation Leadership
Providence Facey Medical Foundation is a non-profit medical foundation that manages Facey Medical Group's operations and is jointly owned by Facey Medical Group and Providence. The Foundation's corporate offices are located in Mission Hills, CA. Providence maintains a controlling interest in Facey Medical Foundation, employing all of the clinical and administrative caregivers who support Facey Medical Group's daily operations.
Dave Mast has been with Providence for more than 16 years, beginning his career as director of financial services and controller for the Valley Service Area. In 2003, he was appointed CFO of the Providence Northwest Washington Service Area, and he returned to California in 2007 as CFO for the Valley Service Area. He oversaw the financial side of the 2008 acquisition of Providence Tarzana Medical Center and developed and implemented a financial plan for Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank.
Since 2010, he has served as CFO for the region’s Hospital Group, working in particular on a three-year expense reduction plan to ensure fiscal stability as healthcare reform continues.
He recently facilitated the integration of Providence Saint John’s Health Center and led the efforts to integrate Facey into the Providence family, as well as working with our shared services departments across the region.
Javier has served as the Associate CFO for the Los Angeles Medical Foundations since 2014 and has been part of the Providence family since 2010. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as the regional assistant controller for Providence's physician practice and hospice divisions in the Los Angeles service area. Before joining Providence, Javier worked at the Children's Starlight Foundation and spent 12 years as a senior manager at Deloitte & Touche, where he taught accounting and auditing concepts at national seminars throughout the U.S. for professionals of all levels. He is a graduate of the Economics & Accounting program at Claremont McKenna College.
Teresa David joined Facey Medical Foundation as the Chief Operating Officer in April 2007. Her role includes administrative oversight of the patient care sites, risk management, quality management, facilities, customer service, senior marketing, corporate compliance, and health plan contracting.
She has over twenty years of broad based management experience in health care that includes serving in the roles of Chief Operating Officer for a medical group and IPA, Vice President of Contracting for a major health plan in California, and a strategic/market planner for a national hospital company. She started her career in public accounting and management consulting with Price Waterhouse.
Teresa received her Bachelors degree in Mathematics/Business from Whittier College and a Masters of Science in Public Health from UCLA.
