Food & Nutrition Services

Denali Dining Room Service is an exciting patient-centered way of meeting your nutritional needs as a patient admitted to Providence Alaska Medical Center.  You may order your meals from the Room Service style menu anytime. 

Current menus:

Breakfast orders may be made between 5:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Lunch and Dinner orders may be made between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Your nutrition is a critical part of your treatment and recovery. The food and nutrition team prepare and serve a wide range of menu items that meet dietary guidelines while following your physician’s orders.

Once your [physician has ordered a diet for you, the new admit specialist from the food and nutrition department or your nursing staff will provide you with the correct menu for you to order from.  When ordering your meals just decide what you would like, then dial Ext. 23300, and place your order.  A Denali dining call center specialist will take your order. 

Please allow up to 45 minutes once you have placed your order for your meal to be delivered.

Food Available for Purchase

It is also important that family members take time to care for their own nutritional needs. The hospital has multiple locations where family members can eat, snack, or relax. Food can also be purchased and brought back to the patient rooms at any time. 

Cafeteria 

  • Location: Lower level
  • Open daily: 6:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. 
  • Self-serve breakfast: 6:30 - 10:30 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11 a.m.
  • Specialty sandwich & salad station: 11 a.m -1:30 p.m.
  • Sauté station: 11:15 a.m.-1 p.m. & 3-6 p.m.
  • Entrée station: 11 a.m. -7 p.m.
  • Soup station: 11 a.m.- 8 p.m.
  • Café coffee station: Mon – Sat 6:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
  • Limited night Café: Mon-Fri: 10 p.m.-2:30 a.m. 

Higher Grounds Coffee Court

  • Location: Floor 1
  • Mon- Fri: 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

ED Coffee Court

  • Location: Gallery area outside Emergency Department
  • Mon- Fri: 6 a.m.-10 p.m.
  • Sat-Sun: 6 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Creekside Café

  • Location: Vista Pavilion, floor 2, across the sky bridge
  • Lunch:11 a.m.
