This national recognition reflects Providence Swedish’s commitment to following current, research-based guidelines in treating heart disease and stroke. This dedication leads to more lives saved, shorter recovery times, and fewer hospital readmissions.

In the U.S., someone has a stroke or heart attack every 40 seconds, making heart disease and stroke the first and fifth leading causes of death, respectively. Research shows that patients recover better when healthcare professionals consistently follow established treatment guidelines.
