Spiritual Care
Spiritual Care
At St. Mary Medical Center, our dedication to spiritual care helps us foster relationships of trust where questions of hope and doubt, fears and faith can be explored.
This means our team provides holistic spiritual care to persons of all faiths through chaplain services that help foster respect, understanding and inner wholeness.
Our chaplains are available for in-person visits 6 a.m. - 5 p.m Monday through Friday, and are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our spiritual caregiving team is composed of highly-trained interfaith chaplains who provide confidential and non-judgmental support to individuals facing illness. They apply their theological expertise to specific medical situations and help patients understand the deeper spiritual meaning of suffering, sickness, health and wellness.
Our chaplains are available to make visits to patients and their families prior to surgeries, during treatment and during recovery. These men and women are educated professionals specially trained in counseling, theology, clinical pastoral education and patient and family care.
The Chapel is located on the first floor – just to the right of the main lobby entrance. Catholic mass is provided in the chapel Monday through Friday; other religious services are available upon request. Bereavement memorial services are conducted three times a year for parents and families who have lost children due to miscarriages or stillbirths.
