We are among the few programs to be certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR), an honor that highlights our commitment to using today’s most advanced practices to maximize our patients’ physical and emotional well-being.

Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program combines therapeutic exercise, education, and nutrition counseling to help restore the health and quality of life of those with chronic lung conditions.

We’re committed to maximizing our patients’ physical and emotional well-being through compassionate and effective treatments. Our comprehensive 6-8 week rehabilitation program is designed to improve the health and independence of those affected by:

  • COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
  • Emphysema
  • Chronic bronchitis
  • Chronic asthma
  • Restrictive lung disease
  • Cystic fibrosis
  • Pulmonary hypertension
  • Lung transplant preparation and recovery

The multidisciplinary team of professionals and specialists who make up the Pulmonary Rehab Program are dedicated to helping you live a healthier and more active life. We bring together a wide range of specialties, including:

  • Board-certified pulmonologists
  • Exercise physiologists
  • Respiratory therapists
  • Pharmacists
  • Nutritionists

Your team takes the time to learn about your personal challenges and designs an individualized program plan. Together, you’ll set goals for what is most important to you. Your plan of care is regularly reviewed by our pulmonologists and adjustments will be made to help you meet your goals and make gains in handling daily activities.

Each weekly session consists of:

  • Monitored exercise in a group setting
    • Helps increase strength, build endurance and reduce symptoms
    • Individualized to meet your specific needs
  • Education sessions
    • Medication management
    • Nutrition counseling
    • Relaxation
    • Breathing techniques
    • How to do everyday tasks
    • Strategies for living better
  • Emotional Coping Strategies
    • Support for depression, panic and anxiety

At each session, you’ll be among others who have many of the same experiences, questions and feelings that you do, allowing the program to provide invaluable emotional support.
