Our pediatric infectious disease team provides expert care while focusing on the comfort of your child. Caregivers provide comprehensive patient-centered care to diagnose and manage infectious disease conditions in infants, children and adolescents.
Our multidisciplinary team approach includes doctors, nurses, medical assistants, social workers, and behavioral health providers. We partner with other specialty clinics, primary care physicians, patients, and their families to develop a personalized care plan to meet the needs of our patients.
At Providence St. Vincent, we treat a wide range of pediatric infectious diseases, including:
- Blood stream infections
- Bone and joint infections
- Congenital infections, like CMV (cytomegalovirus)
- Fever of unknown origin
- Gastrointestinal or intra-abdominal infections
- Health care-associated infections
- Kawasaki disease
- Lymphadenopathy
- Meningitis
- Multi-system inflammatory syndrome
- Pneumonia
- Skin and soft tissue infections, such as MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus)
- Travel-related infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Zoonotic disease, such as Lyme disease
We do not treat pediatric HIV/AIDS.
