John B. Bosetti, MD

Dr. John Bosetti performs minimally invasive surgery and lasers for glaucoma at the Eye Specialists of Napa Valley. He specializes in treatment of medical conditions of the eye with particular expertise in diagnosis and treatment of retinal disease, particularly macular degeneration, diabetic eye problems and diseases of the retinal blood vessels. He and Dr. Jameson founded Eye Specialists of Napa Valley in 1991 with the goal of providing the best, safest, most predictable outcomes possible, optimizing patients’ vision for their entire lives, so that they might enjoy the beautiful valley through clear eyes.

Dr. Bosetti earned his undergraduate degree in physiology at the University of California at Davis and his MD at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF).

After a general medical internship at Mercy Medical Center in San Diego, Dr. Bosetti returned to UCSF to complete his residency in ophthalmology. He taught cataract surgery at the UCSF for 10 years. He continues to provide medical consultation and surgical eye care as a consultant for the California Veterans Home at Yountville and actively publishes his research on improving medical and surgical eye treatments, a topic he has also covered as a guest on several radio and television shows.

Dr. Bosetti is married to Dr. Jameson. They have two children. When away from the office he enjoys many family activities, including travel, cooking, golf, and hiking.
