Darryl Elmouchi

Darryl Elmouchi, M.D, is the current chief operating officer for Providence. Responsible for operational oversight and strategy, he works to ensure access to a portfolio of vital, high-quality and affordable services across the Providence footprint while also leading the organization’s care transformation strategies.

Prior to this role, Dr. Elmouchi served as COO of Corewell Health, headquartered in Michigan, overseeing strategy, operations, clinical care delivery and financial performance for the organization’s clinical enterprise of 21 hospitals, multiple large employed medical groups, over 300 outpatient locations and a 1.3-million-member health plan.

A practicing physician until 2020, Dr. Elmouchi earned his medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School, his MBA from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, and holds a certificate in biostatistics from University of Michigan School of Public Health. He completed his internship, residency and chief residency at University of California, San Francisco and fellowships in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular medicine at University of Michigan Health System.
